Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services, results and they are trained to navigate you to the most appropriate clinical member of staff or service that you require. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions, dealing with prescription enquiries, data entry, patient registrations and other admin duties. Receptionists require access to your medical records in order to do their jobs.
We also have Reception Assistants who are responsible for the organisation of patients records to ensure medical data is clear for the clinical team.

They, like all members of our staff within the practice, are bound by the same rules of confidentiality and have a legal duty to protect your information and privacy.
