A Senior Practice Nurse provides care for patients with long-term health conditions such as Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, Coronary Heart Disease, Atrial Fibrillation, Peripheral Vascular Disease, Hypertension and many other chronic diseases.
Senior Practice Nurses also carries out cervical smears, contraception managment, childhood immunisations, travel vaccinations and general advice on diet, weight and a healthy lifestyle. They can also prescribe and make changes to medications within their clinical remit.
